Contents are divided into 4 themes:
Modeling of Surfaces
Basics of surface modeling for the case of free and complex surfaces. CAD tools. Methods for analysis and optimization.
Mesh-oriented Modeling
Reverse engineering . Basic principles. General approach. Dedicated methods and CAD tools. Modeling by point cloud.
Mesh-based and hybrid-parametric modeling.
Generative Modeling
Basics of Generative Modeling: design cycle, methods, tools. Dedicated tools for composition and geometry optimization within an integrated 3D CAD.
Design for Additive Manufacturing
Advanced design methods for Additive Manufacturing. Modelling and optimization of space frames.
Notes: CAD software will be used during the course. The teacher will provide license key to attending students, but personal laptops are needed.
