Dr. Prof. Piergiorgio Dal Santo is one of Europe’s foremost experts in Luxury and Fashion Brand Management. He has held senior strategic planning positions in sales, marketing, communication and licensing for top international luxury, fashion and accessory brands while based in the United States and Europe (Shimano, Gas, Mercer Management Consulting).

Since 2008, he established his own boutique consultancy firm, PGDS Consulting in Milan, where he advises international brands on business development (distribution, retailing, partnerships) , mergers & acquisitions and marketing (communication, pr, press) activities with a focus on developing markets such as China, India and Brasil.

He is Chief Researcher and Educator for the Fortune Character Institute and Co-Secretary of the Luxury in China Summit (Shanghai), which presents the annual High Net Worth Individual consumer research called the China Luxury Report.
As a member of Fondazione Italia Cina, he is scientific contributor to the annual publication "Cina, Scenari e Prospettive per le Imprese", where his research on the Chinese Luxury and Fashion Retail market is included.

Prof. Dal Santo is also visiting professor in Luxury Brand Management, Fashion Marketing and the Chinese Luxury Customer at major universities and fashion schools, such as: London College of Fashion, SCAD USA, Polimoda Firenze, Fondazione CUOA, IlSole24Ore Business School Milan and Rome, IUM Montecarlo, SCAD USA, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Maison du Luxe Sao Paulo Brazil.

Prof. Dal Santo is often a keynote speaker at fashion and luxury industry events, including the China Cosmetic Summit, Cashmere World, Beijing Fashion Week and NovoMania Shanghai exhibitions, the Connect China Conference (Zurich), China Fashion Business Conference (Frankfurt) and Turkish Fashion Week (Istanbul).

He holds a BBA degree in Marketing from Texas Tech University (USA) and speaks English, Italian, French and German.

This course focuses on the management of Top Global Brands doing business in the multinational Fashion, Luxury and Accessories industries, including relevant best global brands from the Technol-ogy, Automotive and Services industries. Through the use of the strategic levers of Brand Extension, Licensing and Co-Branding, students will become familiar with growth patterns in contemporary FMCG, Apparel, Footwear and related Accessory Products, plus their respective specialty Retail Dis-tribution, Communication and Consumer channels. The course shall be illustrated by current events and practices in international brand management, as well as case studies from the world of Fashion and Luxury brands.
