Lorenzo Forni

Dr. Forni is an applied macroeconomist. He worked at the IMF Fiscal Affairs Department from 2010 to 2016 and previously at the Bank of Italy. He received a PhD in Economics at Boston University in 2001 and was a visiting scholar at Harvard University in 2005-2006. He published in major academic journals such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Public Economics, the International Journal of Central Banking. His research interests include the economic impact of fiscal policy, the role of monetary policy, sovereign debt restructuring and issues related to the European economic governance.
