The project is in collaboration with the University of Sydney. It aims to connect students with different educational and disciplinary backgrounds through the development of a case study.
The course provides soft skills development, relationship and collaboration skills, group work, problem-solving approach, in order to promote professional growth and integration into the world of work.
The project includes an ad-hoc educational path (Industry Community Project, ICP Unit) of 6 credits organized by the University of Sydney, in collaboration with external Australian partners (companies, multinationals and service companies), to define and present to the students an operational question and/or case study to which the students are asked to give an answer. The aim of the course is to promote in students the development of soft skills, relationship and collaboration skills, teamwork, problem-solving approach, basically the skills necessary for professional growth and placement.
Students are divided into heterogeneous groups of 10: each group is composed of students from a different educational background (e.g. engineering, psychology, agriculture, physics, history, mathematics, languages, medicine), in order to promote interaction between diversified disciplinary fields. The heterogeneity within the groups is finally assured by the presence of Paduan and Australian students. At the end of the period, in order to obtain the 6 credits, each group of students must present and discuss a project to the industrial partner.
